Home remedies for Stained Teeth

  • Keep teeth clean. Good oral hygiene helps prevent the teeth are stained from food or liquids. That means brushing your teeth at least twice a day, especially after meals.

  • Use with caution in toothpaste stain remover. These toothpastes are too abrasive and therefore the use of this product should be restricted to two or three times a week.
  • Do not be creative. Some people rub lines or spatulas on the teeth with the aim of clearing, which may cause the enamel of the teeth scratch and become more prone to staining.
  • Avoid using tooth whitening products-counter without prescription. It is not advisable to use these, because while you remove the stain, you can also spend the enamel making it more exposed dentine and, as a result, the tooth is re-stain. Also, published scientific studies have shown that ingredients containing these carbamide peroxide bleaching mainly (in the mouth becomes hydrogen peroxide) can slow the healing of oral tissues that are damaged and possibly even cause cancer.
